Try the food there. There are so many good spots we tried for our girls trip. Angry Crab Shack had a really great seafood boil with an amazing Cajun garlic butter sauce. If you're feeling bold, their XXX sauce is extremely spicy and definitely not for beginners! Arizona has such a great mix of food, vibes, and warm weather that makes every meal feel like part of the experience.
There’s tons to do from wellness to adventure. We rented a pontoon boat for about 3–4 hours and spent the afternoon on the lake listening to music and having fun. While out there, we caught photos of animals near the water and saw tons of people on jet skis enjoying the sunshine. If you're feeling adventurous, you can get up early to catch a sunrise hot air balloon ride. My friends weren’t brave enough, so we opted for UTVs through the mountains at 7am before the heat hit — and it ended up being one of our favorite activities!
For UTV riding, make sure to book the early morning time slot. Waking up early is worth it, especially for the amazing sunrise views and cooler weather before that 90–100 degree heat hits. We wore simple clothing that we didn’t care about getting dirty, shorts, plain tops, and we wrapped our hair to keep the dust out. After the ride, we made sure to wash everything before packing it back into our suitcases.
Although they supply water, if you have a Yeti or Stanley, bring it with ice. We went through about three bottles in one stop because the heat. Always remember to listen to your guide, stay close to the group, and if anything feels off or unsafe, SPEAK UP. It’s a fun and memorable experience, but safety and hydration make the adventure so much better.
